How did you get started working with Oracle ERP?

I have worked with ERP systems since the beginning of the 90s. After studying International Marketing in Barcelona, I started my career in a tech company that distributed BPCS ERP. I went on to work with different ERPs such as IFS, Navision, and in 1998 I started working with JD Edwards.  Over the years, I have had a range of different roles such as Finance Consultant, Presales, and Account Executive.

In 2005, I had the honor of founding Qualita with 4 colleagues. The beginning was so hard but now, we have a team of 80 people specialized in different business fields and solutions related to ERP systems.

What is your role?

I am part of the Executive Committee and I am responsible for Sales and Marketing (CMO). My mission is to ensure that we meet our sales goals through demand generation and by developing national and international partnerships. I am fortunate to lead a great, highly qualified, and engaged team. There are four of us in Marketing and five in Sales.

What does your typical day look like?

My typical day is so crazy! First, I try to have breakfast with my family. Then, I go to the office (well, now I work at home due to COVID) and my workday starts with short meetings with my teams to schedule tasks. I work with the marketing team on strategy and campaign execution. I speak to vendors and validate external and internal communications via different channels. With the sales team, we work together to ensure we are continuously delivering excellent customer experience. I meet with clients to review how we can optimize their Oracle ERP to help them achieve their business goals and I attend steering committees to ensure that projects are on track and meeting client needs. I also work with the Consulting department on resource planning. It really is a varied and challenging role!

What is your favorite thing about your job?

I really enjoy my job because I get to work with different types of customers and industries, projects, and vendors. I am always learning, and this is so enriching. I love meeting people and, of course, I love working with #GenteQualita. We are a great community!

Any advice for graduates, particularly women who may be considering a career in Tech?

My daughter is 17 years old and loves technology. It makes me happy that she wants to work in Tech, I know that she will have a bright future. Technology is an exciting and challenging career path, it is always changing and is a great fit for curious, dynamic people who love to learn.

In Spain, like in many other countries, women are under-represented in Tech, especially in management. But I tell my daughter that this is a great opportunity and that she can help to bring about a more equal balance. At Qualita we are proud to be 50% men and 50% women.

Tell us More?

I love dogs and horses. I try to do sport every day: running, gym, tennis, cycling... It helps me to disconnect and at the same time to think about new opportunities for improvement and growth.

I also love traveling and getting to know new cultures. My next goal is to make a long trip to New Zealand.

And as a good Catalan, I enjoy the Mediterranean Sea especially the Costa Brava (Girona) with its beaches and its cuisine!
