Posted by Redfaire International
Release 22 shows Oracle's continued commitment to JD Edwards ERP. In this release, you can take advantage of process automation to save time and money. The UI is being continually improved by integrating all the latest technology from Oracle. Here we look at some of the highlights for JD Edwards Manufacturing Clients.
Simplified Update of Work Centre Rates What used to take hours can now be done in just a matter of minutes. You will no longer have to update work centre rates one at a time for each cost method. Now you can mass update rates.
Copy Costs to Multiple Selected Branch Plants You can now copy costs to multiple branches that you select, previously you could only copy costs to one Branch Plant or all the branches where the item exists.
New Where Used Diagram A new user-friendly Where Used Diagram with images gives production planning personnel and engineers easy access to item details and convenient context-based exits to related applications. You no longer need to install and configure a separate server to get this extra functionality.
Option to Default Current Date as Effective Date When Copying a Bill of Material or Routing A processing option has been added to the Routing Revisions program and the Copy Bill of Material by Branch/Plant program, to enable the user to use the current/system date as the effective date when a bill of materials or a routing record is copied.
Requirements Planning Summary Console
A new graphical presentation of the messages generated by the master scheduling and material and distribution requirements planning programmes makes life easier for planners and buyers. Messages are now presented summarized and prioritized based on user preferences and then presented in the context of an interactive and real-time supply/demand detail table with supporting charts and graphical alerts.
